COLONY CHRISTMAS KARAOKE
CONTEST
Every year, the Colony Christmas Celebration is a big success. Many local businesses come together to bring holiday cheer to the people of the Mat-Su Valley. We even draw in quite a crowd from Anchorage to celebrate and take part in the festivities. For 2009, Endless Karaoke & DJ Entertainment together with the Palmer Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the first annual Colony Christmas Karaoke Contest. Not only will we recognize some of our local musical talent, but we would like to give local businesses a chance to be involved in the contest as well. There is no question that Mat-Su Valley is huge when it comes to bringing musicians out of the woodwork and this is their chance to really test their metal.
There are 16 locations throughout the Valley that will host the qualifier contests. One winner from each night will move on to the final contest on December 12, during the Colony Christmas celebration.
Prizes:
Overall best performer - $500
Best male performer - $200
Best female performer - $200
Other prizes will be given out nightly
Rules:
20 contestants per night (first come, first serve)
Contestants may not be professional singers (paid band singers or published musicians)
Must be present to sign up
Sign up begins one hour prior to start time
Judging:
Three judges will make up the panel
Judging will be based on the following:
-Appearance
-Voice
-Song difficulty
-Confidence
